As a teenage mother, Casey has built her communications career on advocacy work to create more inclusive spaces everywhere she goes. Casey graduated three times with her son in the audience, most recently with her Master’s in Applied Communication from IUPUI. She’s held countless roles where she leverages her blended skillset to drive earned media coverage, build websites, and ensure that businesses of all sizes can successfully elevate their stories and drive business goals. She’s currently the President & CEO of Polished Strategic Communications, which she founded only nine months ago after unexpectedly losing her job. She’s created a company with foundational pillars of equity and access, education, and community development; and she’s supporting nearly 15 clients in Central Indiana and outside of the state. Recently, Casey made her first hire, a Black woman, demonstrating her commitment to ensuring that the communications industry remains inclusive for minority women after the overturn of Affirmative Action.
