About us

Persist uses psychology and technology to help households create new habits that build visibility, appreciation, and fairness around the division of your household care work. The app helps couples implement this new system, and provides all the resources needed to be successful; guides, tools, coaches, personal assistants, and more! Persist can be purchased directly or can be offered as an employee benefit that helps get time back for busy employees by organizing, distributing, and outsourcing time-consuming domestic labor. Overwhelmed employees can't bring their best selves to work, and getting the support they need at home can be a game changer. Employers can add funds to a Persist account to ensure extra support is available during major life events such at parental leave, taking care of a sick family member, relocation, or even just returning to the office. Reach out to find out how Persist can improve employee satisfaction, productivity, and sense of community!

Transforming Parental Support and Life Integration for Parents, Managers, and Employers | Community Leader | Coach & Educator | Founder, The Parents Table

💫Big Win Today!💫 I, along with my two amazing colleagues, Nikki Goldwater, Teresa Urbina, rocked the workshop on Strategies to Manage Household Responsibilities in the First Year hosted by Center for Parental Leave Leadership! We spoke about: 🌟 Unpacking how unconscious bias and unspoken expectations shape how tasks get 'assigned', and how to begin intentionally changing them in your home. 🌟 Exploring what the scope of infant care may look like for your family, highlighting the #invisiblelabor and #mentalload that keeps things moving. 🌟 How to develop a practice of self-reflection and shared language to discuss the labor of parenthood. 🌟 Identify strategies to have constructive conversations with your partner before or after baby arrives to help #sharetheload. 🌟 Practical tools, techniques and systems, such as The Fair Play Method by The Fair Play Policy Institute and Persist designed to streamline household management and foster collaboration between partners. We would love to do this workshop for companies and groups as well. If you would be interested in having this workshop at your company or your organization, please DM me!

    It's about Time

I'm thrilled to share that Persist has made it into the top 3 highlights this week in one of my personal favorite newsletters for busy moms CARRY Media™ So far, thousands of households have taken our free assessment, and here are some key insights: ·Domestic labor is split 75/25 on average, with the primary caregiver handling most of the work. ·In households with a stay-at-home mom, the split is 90/10. ·In households with a stay-at-home dad, the split is 50/50 (I have complicated feelings on this one). ·The average household with children spends about 100 hours a week on domestic tasks. ·Persist App users, with an engaged partner on the app, experience a 60/40 split, freeing up more than 15 extra hours a week for the primary caregiver. Unsustainable imbalance doesn’t need to be the norm! Thank you to all the amazing families out there helping us build a fairer future.

    It's about Time

🌸 As we approach Mother's Day, I wanted to share some news. 🏠 At Persist we recently launched our free CareLoad Assessment aimed at helping couples gain insight into the current state of their household duties. I'm thrilled to share that over 1000 households have participated in the past few weeks. 📊 The results are eye-opening. On average, the division of labor stands at 75/25 female to male for dual income households, with an astonishing 100 hours of domestic work EACH WEEK. 💪 My challenge for the incredible men in my network: What if together we could shift just 5% of this burden? That's 5 extra hours a week for the moms in our lives. Or, think about it, an entire extra DAY each month of relief. 🎉 To learn more about how you can actively participate in this shift, I invite you to join Laura Danger and Persist for a free 30-minute workshop on May 8th at 1 ET. 📅 Mark your calendars and register here https://lnkd.in/eUYq-E5D for an interactive discussion on creating more balance within our households. Let's make this Mother's Day truly meaningful by sharing the load. #ShareTheLoad #MothersDay #HouseholdEquality 🌟
