At Penn State Health, giving back is a core part of our mission. We’re proud to support United Way of the Capital Region each year through our annual campaign, helping to strengthen the cornerstones of a good quality of life: education, economic mobility and access to health care. Last year, our dedicated employees pledged $403,673, demonstrating our commitment to the community. As we prepare for this year's campaign, our motivation to make a meaningful impact is stronger than ever. Recently we partnered with United Way to sponsor their shoebox meal initiative. Employees generously volunteered their time to assemble boxes filled with healthy ingredients and recipes, providing families with balanced meals. 🍴 We are grateful for the opportunity to support our community through the United Way Capital Region's impactful programs. 💙

Happy 3️⃣rd anniversary to Penn State Health Hampden Medical Center! 🎉 Since opening its doors in October 2021, Hampden Medical Center has been a cornerstone of care for Cumberland and Perry counties and the surrounding area, bringing easier access to the high-quality primary and specialty care services of Penn State Health. In December of 2017, Penn State Health and Highmark Inc. announced a partnership that would invest $1 billion in the health and well-being of central Pennsylvanians. This collaboration included a shared promise: to create a world-class, network of health care across the southcentral PA region. Hampden Medical Center is part of Penn State Health and Highmark Health’s long-term goal of making sure that everyone in the communities the health system serves has access to virtual care in 0 minutes and is within 10 minutes of a Penn State Health primary care provider, 20 minutes of its specialty care services and 30 minutes of a Penn State Health acute care hospital.

Milton Hershey School students recently got a firsthand look at the human brain, thanks to Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center neurosurgeon and vice chair for neurosurgical education at Penn State College of Medicine Dr. Mark Dias. 🧠 Dias led a dissection, answering questions about brain structure and neurosurgery while inspiring the next generation of medical minds. “I just absolutely love coming to the high school level and seeing the enthusiasm of the students,” said Dias. “I do it for the fun of it, just for the looks on their faces.” We’re excited to continue partnering with Milton Hershey School to offer students these unique educational experiences. https://bit.ly/3XEGyfe
