Meet Kai Goellner. If you’re using one of our products, he had a hand in its development. But there’s more. He’s also a published researcher with a keen interest in reducing our products’ impact on the environment. Kai joined Peli BioThermal in 2012 as a research consultant after completing his M.S. in mechanical engineering with a focus in fluid and thermal sciences. His goal: create an environmental impact comparison between single-use and reusable thermally controlled shipping containers. This research, based on our reusable Crēdo Cube™ shippers, set the foundation for ongoing initiatives to measure our products’ carbon footprints. In 2013, Kai transitioned into product development, and he now leads a team of product engineers working to stay one step ahead of your next pharma cold chain challenge. He provides expertise and guidance on all new product development initiatives–from idea through customer implementation–collaborating with our teams and our customers. His approach extends beyond product into operational efficiency analyses and process standardization. And Kai continues to pursue his passion for sustainability. Thomas Sleepe, site manager in Louisville, leads the team that gets your commercial shipments out the door faster than ever before. Thomas joined Peli BioThermal in November 2022 with nearly 10 years of experience in operations- and engineering-related roles. He was actively involved in construction and engineering of our new facility and spearheaded the launch of our Crēdo™ Go shippers, a temperature-controlled rental solution designed for the commercial pharma market.
