Driven by the Atlanta Continuum of Care, led by Partners for Home, our reach goes beyond a housing-first approach. Through The Melody Project, we’ve set up low-cost micro-unit communities to ensure our neighbors stay a part of their neighborhoods. We're proud to have Tanisha Wright, WNBA Champion & Head Coach, standing with us in this effort. Her support highlights the teamwork it takes across our city to end homelessness, proving that together, we can create lasting change for our communities. Driven by the Atlanta Continuum of Care and led by Partners for Home, we’re building a stronger community—one neighbor at a time. In just the past 5 years, over 12,000 people who once faced homelessness have found safe, stable housing. These life-changing efforts are rooted in collaboration and compassion, and they are a testament to the power of a housing-first approach. But we’re not stopping here. As we continue to make strides, learn more about how you can support this vital work and help ensure that every Atlanta neighbor has a place to call home. https://lnkd.in/eR2_dT_x #HousingFirst #AtlantaCoC #EndHomelessness #PartnersForHome

During Tropical Storm #Helene, when the weather turned severe, our partners stepped up to ensure that those in need were not left to face the storm alone. A huge thank you to Gateway Center, who remained open through the night, offering shelter and refuge to 150 individuals through their Severe Weather Emergency Shelter program. Along with Gateway Center, The Salvation Army's Red Shield Services played a critical role in providing care during this time. Together, with support from the City of Atlanta Mayor's Office, Office of Constituent Services, and the Department of Corrections, our combined efforts helped ensure safety for our neighbors during the storm. We are grateful for the teamwork and dedication shown by these organizations and all others who help make Atlanta a place of refuge in times of need. Our doors will always remain open for our community 💙 #PartnersForHome #AtlantaCares #SevereWeatherResponse #TeamworkInAction

When Mother Nature called, Gateway Center responded. During Tropical Storm #Helene, we promptly informed our guests, staff, partners, and the community that we would remain open to provide shelter for those seeking refuge from the harsh #weather. As we have done in the past during crises, we activated our street outreach teams to traverse Atlanta neighborhoods, searching for individuals in need of immediate help. We offered transportation to those who should not have to endure the storm's elements outdoors or in unsafe conditions. Our doors remained open throughout the night. We suspended a portion of our services to expand our offerings to include Severe Weather Emergency Shelter for 150 individuals across our Engagement Center at Gateway Center and our Atlanta Medical Center Program site. However, we did not achieve this mission alone. A heartfelt thank you to the Atlanta Mayor's Office, Office of Constituent Services, Partners for Home, Atlanta Department of Corrections, and others for their invaluable support from Thursday evening into Friday morning. We 💙 you, Atlanta, and our doors are always open!
