  • Our care teams work every day to make our patients comfortable from the exam room to the waiting room. A great example of that is at Brookdale Urgent Care in Brooklyn Center. The Kids Corner, a new children’s entertainment area, includes an interactive game mounted on the ceiling, which projects 50 different activities that rotate every five minutes. Kids get their wiggles out by jumping on the mat and have plenty of space to play safely. “It’s fun to walk through the lobby and see little kids playing together and laughing,” says Molly Ricks, nursing supervisor.  “Many of our patients comment that they have never seen a game like this and more than one has shed tears over leaving the clinic instead of coming to the clinic.” There’s also a reading nook for those wanting a quieter activity and chairs for parents to sit nearby. It's just one more example of how our teams are putting patients first!

  • We’re grateful for colleagues who will go above and beyond to ensure our patients have a great experience. When a patient lost her cherished blanket at Methodist Hospital, John Penn and Nawang Lobsang took the time to search through the linen carts — and they found it! “We delivered the blanket to the patient, and she expressed her sincere gratitude,” said Clinton Edwards, environmental services supervisor. “It was an emotional scene for everyone.” Jonn and Nawang, partners for good who are going the extra mile!

  • Each day, our team at Methodist Hospital delivers on our promise to support patients, members, the community and each other. In every interaction, we demonstrate to our patients that we see them, listen to them, understand them and work alongside them. This excellent patient experience makes an impact and wins awards! We’re honored to receive the National Research Corporation (NRC Health) 2024 Excellence in Patient Experience Award. This award is based on the Net Promoter Score, which measures if patients would recommend our hospital to others. We won first place in the "large hospital" category, out of 88 eligible facilities. We’re proud to provide an award-winning experience for our patients.
