We're proud to relaunch the PARC Forum, a nearly 50-year-old Silicon Valley institution that brings together some of the world's most interesting people for discussion about trends in innovation, research, the economy, and technology’s transformative effects on the world. Join us April 4th as SRI's CEO David Parekh sits down with Pulitzer Prize-winning New York Times editor and writer David Leonhardt to discuss his new book, Ours Was the Shining Future, and how innovation, ingenuity, and investment fueled America’s technological and economic growth. About us
PARC is now part of SRI, an independent nonprofit research institute with deep roots in Silicon Valley that's had a profound impact on every one of our lives. The iconic PARC name will continue to thrive in an incarnation that’s both true to PARC’s extraordinary legacy of open innovation and central to SRI’s future: by bringing people together with SRI researchers at its Palo Alto campus to invent, develop, and advance the next generation of transformative technologies, services, and ideas. The research group from PARC has become SRI's sixth division, now known as Future Concepts.

If you've ever relied on the weekend to catch up on sleep, have you wondered how it impacts your health? Recent work by SRI's Marie Gombert-Labedens shows that insufficient sleep and recovery sleep influence blood lipid levels, and suggests that more than one weekend of recovery sleep may be necessary for recovery. SRI researchers are developing a new precision immunotherapy platform to fight cancer, including solid tumors associated with triple-negative breast cancer. SRI’s Targeted Antigen Loaded Liposomes (TALL) solution aims to enhance and advance immunotherapy by enabling targeted delivery of antigens that most people have already encountered, whether through vaccination or infection. The goals of TALL are improved therapeutic efficacy, reduced side effects, and the availability of immunotherapy to a broader patient population. Researchers at PARC—now part of SRI—have developed a technology that could transform how displays, electronics, and materials are built. Using a process that project lead, Eugene Chow, calls software-controlled microassembly, the goal is to lower costs and barriers to advancing manufacturing with a new chiplet-filled ink that can be printed into integrated systems. “Ultimately, microassembly printers have the potential to be a disruptive new manufacturing tool for next generation displays, electronics, and materials. SRI has an amazing breadth of interdisciplinary talent which can help to realize this vision,” says Chow. Read more: https://bit.ly/3EQ3pLN
