Last week, Paragon Fellows had an incredible opportunity to meet with the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP)!
Our students showcased their ongoing projects and gained insights into a diversity of science and tech policy issues that the federal government is currently tackling. The OSTP team engaged very thoughtfully with our fellows' work, asking insightful questions and offering valuable feedback.
Fellows also took the opportunity to ask about career pathways in tech policy and the interplay between local, state, and federal government. The discussion highlighted the importance of creating accessible entry points into the field, especially for students at the start of their career.
Thank you to the OSTP team and Kristen Busch, Judy Brewer, Travis Hoppe, Jeremy Epstein, Bella Mendoza, Drew Keller, Shreeya Parekh, and Katerina Kaganovich for hosting and organizing such a wonderful event. Your engagement and support has been invaluable in fostering the next generation of tech policy leaders.
If you are passionate about tech policy and want to make an impact, Paragon fellow applications are opening up! As a Paragon fellow, you'll have the opportunity to work on salient science and tech policy issues in your state and local government, gaining hands-on experience and making a real difference.
