About us
Overhead Intelligence is a research and development company that designs technological advancements for industrial small unmanned aircraft systems. OI develops software and hardware for vertically integrated mapping systems capable of executing large-scale aerial mapping missions. OI focuses on solutions for resource exploration and mining companies, public utilities, medical delivery companies, government agencies, land development companies, and other entities that rely on up-to-date airborne mapping products. We specialize in the development of Lidar mapping platforms that can generate 3D models of topography, canopy, and other vertical structures. OI provides satellite-scale coverage, with high quality resolution; mapping too cheap to meter. In the process of optimizing mapping drones, OI will solve numerous industry problems.

Overhead Intelligence Secures Expanded SFOC Permissions from Transport Canada for Nationwide Mineral Exploration. Overhead Intelligence (OI) has been awarded a new series of Special Flight Operations Certificates (SFOCs) by Transport Canada. This marks a historic achievement for OI, as it is the first time the company has received authorization to conduct advanced mineral exploration surveys across all 13 Canadian provinces and territories. The granted SFOCs focus on facilitating wide area magnetometry surveys, leveraging the capabilities of OI's innovative MagPlane technology. The MagPlane, a cutting-edge addition to OI's fleet, is specifically designed for expansive area surveys. With the support of Transport Canada's SFOCs, OI is now poised to harness the full potential of the MagPlane's long-range capabilities, offering a robust and efficient alternative to traditional manned aircraft magnetometry surveys. Furthermore, the latest round of SFOCs enhances OI's operational scope by incorporating photogrammetry techniques, paving the way for richer data collection and analysis. In addition to these advancements, OI is actively developing a lidar-equipped aircraft, aiming to further expand its survey capabilities and efficiency. The newly acquired SFOCs are set to significantly contribute to this development, underscoring OI's commitment to pioneering in the field of mineral exploration. Thanks to the Office of Naval Research for inviting us to attend and support the Frozen Flyer Arctic UAS demonstration in Greenland. We look forward to continuing to develop Arctic drone capabilities for both defense and commercial use cases.
Experimenting with night time drone ops in the Arctic...just another day of science advising at U.S. Fleet Forces Command ! As the Arctic becomes more of a commercial transit lane area, we need to make sure that it remains open and free. The Office of Naval Research - Global's Frozen Flyer experiments are a good start to guaranteeing that freedom of transit by helping us understand what it will take to overcome the challenges of operating drones in the Arctic. This will enable the Navy to deliver food and medicine to remote Arctic areas, perform rescue operations and improve overall situational awareness. Special thanks to the Frozen Flyer Team for sharing their expertise and allowing me to tag along! Office of Naval Research Global (ONR Global) IT Mentor Group, Inc. It was a pleasure working with GroundTruth Exploration to support Labrador Gold Corp. (TSX-V: LAB) and their nickel and gold exploration project on the Hopedale Property.
Labrador Gold is pleased to provide an update from our Hopedale Property where we’ve recently completed a UAV Magnetics Survey totalling 1,260 line km. The survey was operated by GroundTruth Exploration - Overhead Intelligence and completed October 17-23, 2023. “The preliminary magnetic survey results from Hopedale are encouraging and appear to delineate the ultramafic rocks over several kilometres. We believe these rocks have potential for nickel as well as gold which has been our primary focus at Hopedale to date.” - CEO Roger Moss Learn more about our Hopedale Project in Labrador - https://bit.ly/3kr0WR4 #Gold #Nickel #Exploration #Labrador
