Identifies and assesses areas of risk, communicates the importance of the program to executive management and the board of directors, prepares and distributes the written code of conduct setting forth the ethical principles and policies which are the basis of the compliance program, develops and implements education programs addressing compliance and the code of conduct, implements a retaliation-free internal reporting process, and collaborates with executive management to effectively incorporate the compliance program within system operations and programs to carry out the responsibilities of the position. Required Skills / Abilities Strong analytical and critical thinking skills. Excellent communication and collaboration skills; ability to work with everyone at all levels of the organization. Attention to detail and ability to work with complex and competing information. Ability to collaborate and advise management on compliance matters; ability to develop practical business solutions and to facilitate risk assessment. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Ability to travel to the office daily, or as required by the supervisor. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or other similar software. Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in healthcare, nursing, healthcare administration, business administration, law, or related field. Five or more years of healthcare compliance, management, or operations experience required. Knowledge of healthcare legislation and how to research legislation changes. Clear understanding of the financial aspects of the healthcare industry. Related certifications in healthcare compliance preferred. Knowledge of The Joint Commission Standards.
