Today, the Osage Nation joined the Osage, LLC, Oklahoma State University, and Tulsa Innovation Labs to welcome the Economic Development Administration's (EDA) Acting Assistant Secretary of Commerce and Economic Development Cristina Killingsworth and her team to the Osage Nation Reservation. The visit included a site visit to the Skyway36 Droneport and Technology Innovation Center, which was awarded a $2.1 million grant from the EDA and is currently under construction. Skyway36 Droneport and Technology Innovation Center is the ideal location for flight testing all UAS and AAM technologies modes. Strategically situated within Osage Nation, less than 5 miles from downtown Tulsa and 10 miles from Tulsa International Airport, Skyway36 provides a unique combination of urban cityscape and rural environments. It is the primary access point to Skyway Range, the Beyond-Visual-Line-of-Sight UAS flight test range of 1,200 square miles built in partnership with Osage LLC, Oklahoma State University, and Tulsa Innovation Labs.

The Osage Nation Government 2023 audit report is clean, with zero significant deficiencies or material weaknesses. An independent audit report shows top-tier accountability and oversight by the Osage Nation Government. A “clean” opinion is a report that an auditor issues when they find that financial statements are fairly presented and by generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). It indicates that the auditor found no material misstatements during the audit and that the entity followed the applicable financial reporting framework. “Once again, the Osage Nation has received an outstanding audit report showing strong oversight by the Osage Nation Treasury, Procurement, Accounting, and Grants Departments,“ said Principal Chief Geoffrey Standing Bear. “We are grateful to our Osage Nation employees for this massive accomplishment, which speaks to their hard work and dedication.” You can click below to find out more. https://lnkd.in/gC9q_pjQ

#IntheNews | Osage Nation gets approval for the largest fee-to-trust application in Oklahoma “This is your land, and your children's land, and your grandchildren's land,” Standing Bear said, in a message to other Osage citizens. “And there are no loans on it, and there's no mortgage on it, and that is not going to happen. We're not giving this land up again. We were pushed into that before, but we want to acquire more, and we want to do this again. But land is very expensive.” https://lnkd.in/guMFByw7
