Data from our upcoming State of Sales Development report shows that, when SDRs leave their role, 79% of the time, it's to take on other roles at the organization. Now, more than ever, sales development is becoming a feeder system to inject incredible talent within your company. As a follow-up to last week's video with Jason Dorfman about hiring strategies, here are his thoughts on bringing in new talent with an eye for their career progression. -Who should be involved in hiring? -When do you start their career path planning? -What tactical steps need to be taken? This is a must-watch for any sales leader looking to grow their headcount.

In recent months, 28 organizations have become boomerang Orum customers, returning to Orum after having less than satisfactory experiences with our competitor platforms. When an organization chooses Orum, we’re proud. When an organization chooses to RETURN to Orum, it speaks volumes. Regardless of how much success they experience in their initial contract, there will always be a question about whether the grass can be greener. It’s common for a competitor to make promises about lower prices, better connect rates, or a roadmap of features that will inflate their numbers even more. Sales leaders try to do right by their organization and teams, so they occasionally explore those promises. Time and time again, what happens is that they realize the difference between Orum and the competition. We keep our promises. We offer consistent partnership. We are committed to their success. These sales leaders are constantly trying to help improve the lives of their sellers while increasing revenue. They realize that when it comes to solving those challenges… Orum is the answer.

If you're a professional baseball player and get a base hit 3 out of every ten at-bats, you're a hall of fame. If you're a sales rep and book a meeting 3 out of every ten calls, you're hitting quota. What these two experiences have in common is that you're almost guaranteed to think about the losses, the strikeouts, and the rejections more than you're going to think about the wins. Call apprehension comes from expecting an "active" no, but the more you pick up the phone, the better you're prepared to respond to those objections. Orum users tell us that a massive benefit to using our platform is that they expect someone to answer the phone thanks to our AI-powered connect rates. They're always ready for that next opportunity. That next at-bat. On the latest episode of our Bold Calling podcast, we talk about the importance of understanding those "active" objections, investing in yourself, and how to get the most out of each at-bat.

Orum Co-Founder and CEO Jason Dorfman knows how to build an outstanding sales development team. It's the reason Orum exists. We consistently win in a crowded market because of the people that make up that sales development team. In a recent interview, we sat down with Jason to learn what he looks for when bringing in new talents. Regardless of how advanced your tech stack is, having the right people in the chair significantly impacts your team’s success. Building a great SDR team isn’t about filling seats quickly or relying on the latest technology. It’s about setting a high bar, relentlessly pursuing top talent, and creating an inevitable growth environment. At Orum, we don’t just settle for world-class. Be on the lookout for part two of our discussion with Jason in the coming days.

Last week, we collaborated with UserGems 💎 + Accord to host an event for sales leaders in NYC. The purpose wasn't to sell anything or pitch to anyone but to create a conversation space. 🤹🏼♀️ As much as we love building community on this platform through our content and the vibes we send, we know that, ultimately, people connect with people. It's why you'll always see our leaders talking about "human-centric selling." 🤝 Conversations enable you to listen to one another, offer suggestions where appropriate, and learn from one another. It's why we will always believe in the phone as well. 🤳🏼 You can't always get together in person, but a phone call opens the door to a conversation just as well. Thank you to everyone who joined us last week! And if you're interested in participating in another Orum event, check out our content from last week. 👀 We're cooking up something ridiculous for INBOUND. 🚒 #outboundatinbound

90% of Punch!'s meetings are being booked over the phone using Orum. This doesn't surprise us. Adam Sockel 🥇 was on Punch's podcast this week talking about Orum and how we partner with our customers to ensure your outbound sequences are working. The phone is a pivotal aspect of a successful omnichannel sales approach, and it should be used in conjunction with other channels to create awareness and recognition of your platform and what challenges you can solve for prospects. The critical point is that a phone call is the final touchpoint before booking a meeting. Use all your channels to create the case, generate FOMO and interest, and dial them up. Opportunity is calling. Listen to the episode here: https://lnkd.in/g34mDXXr
