Opportunity House

Opportunity House is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit serving the Cabarrus County community by meeting the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual needs of individuals experiencing homelessness, addiction, and recently released from incarceration. Core programs include: Within the Day Shelter Program, Opportunity House guests can receive two hot meals (breakfast & lunch), access full bathrooms with showers, access to a washer and dryer for laundry, and a clothing closet for new clothing. Additionally, a computer lab is available for individuals seeking employment or enrolled in courses to pursue a certification. Cabarrus County Community Housing program is a partnership with AYA House and many other organizations and leaders to help bring an end to cyclical in Cabarrus County. This program focuses on moving people out of homelessness into sustainable housing with Peer Support. Cabarrus County Community Reentry program prevents immediate homelessness for individuals recently released from incarceration.
