The recently enacted Build America Buy America (BABA) Act requires that all iron, steel, manufactured products, and construction materials used in infrastructure projects are produced in the United States. HUD further dictates that all housing projects undertaken with federal funds are considered infrastructure. BABA particularly impacts the HOME and National Housing Trust Fund programs. Oklahoma Housing Finance Agency (OHFA) will host a Zoom webinar on October 21 at 10 a.m. During this time, we will cover both the law’s requirements and the standards OHFA is going to require to be compliant with the law. We will discuss any available development-specific waivers, and the waiver process.
