Telling Oklahoma's Story Through Its People Since 1927.

About us

The Oklahoma Hall of Fame was created to honor extraordinary Oklahomans and to provide educational programming for students of all ages. Since our founding in 1927, the organization has grown to support education in a variety of ways including awarding tuition grants and scholarships, providing free statewide field trips, hosting Homeschool Days, offering free family fun days with interactive art activities, and donating our published books to schools and libraries across Oklahoma. MISSION The Oklahoma Hall of Fame tells Oklahoma’s story through its people. From diverse statewide programming to the historic Gaylord-Pickens Museum, we are creating an enhanced sense of pride for all Oklahomans. VISION We believe there are no limits to what is possible. Every day we celebrate the legacy of inspiring Oklahomans with all generations because Oklahomans are changing the world.

We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our beloved Chairman of the Board, Frank Merrick. Frank’s vision and leadership have been instrumental to our organization. A devoted supporter of the Oklahoma Hall of Fame and so many nonprofits across the state, Frank’s impact will live on in the good he has done for his communities. As president of Foundation Management Frank showed a passion for connecting individuals and philanthropic entities, creating a network that helped make giving streamlined and enjoyable. Our hearts go out to his family, and to his work family during this incredibly difficult time. Frank will be truly missed.

Drove 3.5 hours roundtrip last night to spend some time with Oklahoma Hall of Fame's Teen Board and talk about financial literacy. When I was leaving, Bruce Benbrook, who is really a legend in our state and someone I aspire to be like, said, "You're going to be successful in your new venture, Nicole. I can already tell. I'm going to follow you and see how you're doing." I cried when I got to my car. As a young person, words like this matter to me. They make me believe in myself a little more each day. I still can't believe I get to sit next to people like Bruce and learn from them. I have the Oklahoma Hall of Fame and Shannon L. Rich CMP to thank for that. It was also so fun to talk about the below with the high schoolers! If you are connected to a school or nonprofit, invite me. This is absolutely a part of my life's purpose. 💡 People without money management skills make poor financial choices, no matter how much money they make. 💡 We all have our own "money mindsets" formed through our different backgrounds, families, and life experiences. 💡 79% of Gen Z and millennials take financial advice from social media. The problem? You can't always trust what you see online. Some of the "lifestyles" you see are really people drowning in credit card debt and "influencer" doesn't always equate to "finance expert."
