History: The Ohio Career Development Association (OCDA) was founded in 1975 and is a division of the Ohio Counseling Association (OCA) and a strong state division of the National Career Development Association (NCDA), which was founded in 1913. NCDA is a division of the American Counseling Association (ACA).

We want to take some time to introduce you to our amazing new board members! We're going to start with our new Secretary, Vanessa Ault, EdD! Dr. Vanessa Ault is the Assistant Director of Healthcare Careers and Early Career Engagement in the Career Center at Case Western Reserve University (CWRU). Before joining CWRU, Vanessa spent nine years at the University of Southern California (USC) in Los Angeles. Vanessa earned a Doctorate Degree in Educational Leadership from USC in 2020. She is very excited to grow her network in Ohio and continue making an impact in education and career development.
