A collaborative space and strong work culture are important for companies to provide in their office buildings. 2Life Communities is no exception!   It was important for 2Life Communities to have a centralized administrative office building to foster better collaboration and thereby a stronger office culture. Due to space constraints, it was decided the additional space would be built on top of an existing structure between two residential buildings. Because of the way the existing building was designed, the new building would need to be supported from the outside, and the solution came in the form of two 90-ft-long steel trusses held up by four exterior steel columns.    The new office space includes a central cafe with an open stair to the offices above. The steel trusses were painted bright yellow to celebrate the structure and glass walls on the conference rooms bring brightness and natural light into the interiors so everyone is not only connected with each other, but also the outdoors.
