Ok folks, there are SO MANY crazy-cool projects to fight plastic pollution being funded in this announcement. AI-enhanced precision plastics cleanups? YES. A snail-inspired microplastic removal robot? WHOA. Building community coalitions to clean up local marshes, estuaries and beaches? HELL YEAH. Reading through the list of projects is making me giddy 😁 And I'm most excited and grateful that this announcement includes funding for Florida Sea Grant and Ocean Conservancy to bring our Plastic Free Cities work to Orlando!!! This project is going to clean up neighborhoods, help businesses go single-use plastic-free, and be a life-altering experience for some incredible high school students who will be the next generation of ocean champions. I CANNOT WAIT to see this project get off the ground and start having an impact. Stay tuned, because we've got a lot of fun work to do! You ready, Maggie, Theo and Jon Paul (J.P.) Brooker???
