  • Hip Hop Brought Joy to Sally Ride Elementary School! The Hip Hop dance program at Sally Ride Elementary School was a game-changer, bringing positive energy and enthusiasm to students and educators alike. The impact has been truly inspiring. Teacher Doeum Farry shared, "My students enjoy learning the hip hop dance moves. They are excited and more engaged in school as a result. It also provides students with an opportunity to express themselves and be successful and proud of their hard work." Principal Catherine Daley added, "I asked the mother of two students who said her daughters would not stop dancing and want to be in class on time. They love Hip Hop!" These testimonials highlight the enthusiasm and positive change our programs bring to students' lives. But don't just take it from the educators—let's hear from the students themselves. According to a recent survey: "Art makes me feel good and calm." "Art makes me feel relaxed and when I'm doing it I just feel calm and happy." "Art helps me express my feelings about life." Additionally, the survey revealed: 100% of students strongly agree that the OASIS After-School Arts Program has leaders who care about them. 75% of students strongly agree that the program helps them become better people and makes them want to do well in school. 75% of students strongly agree that the program helps them believe in themselves. 100% of students strongly agree that the program makes them think about what they can do in the future. These insights from our students affirm the transformative power of our arts programs. We are grateful to be part of their journey, inspiring young minds through the joy of Hip Hop and other artistic expressions. Thank you to all the educators, parents, and supporters who believe in the power of the arts. Your encouragement helps us continue making a difference in the lives of these young artists. #OASISCenterInternational #ArtsEducation #HipHopDance #YouthEmpowerment #ArtForAll #CommunityEngagement

This vision becomes a reality through the steadfast support and collaboration of our partners. Our story of empowerment, creativity, and community engagement is made richer by the vibrant tapestry of those who stand with us. In the past year, we have touched the lives of over 4,500 students across California, including those in seven school districts, thanks to the remarkable efforts of our strategic partners. The diverse range of courses we offer—ranging from Hip Hop and Tap Dance to Creative Art Journaling, Mural Arts, Watercolor, and Digital Arts—reflects our commitment to holistic arts education. Our partners, such as T-Mobile, with their groundbreaking Project 10Million initiative, provide essential internet connectivity to millions of underserved student households, bridging the digital divide and unlocking educational opportunities. U.S. Bank has supported a mini-film project at 9th Street Elementary, amplifying the voices and narratives of homeless students. The City of Santa Ana, alongside Media Arts Santa Ana, co-hosted the Creative Professionals Capacity Building Workshop, empowering local artists with financial management and business skills. Institutions like the Orange County Department of Education, Fresno Unified School District, and Contra Costa County Office Of Education enable us to expand our reach, while the generous backing from corporations like Banc of California, Pacific Premier Bank, and Umpqua Bank fuels our initiatives and extends our impact. Through these partnerships, we are not just building programs but nurturing a community where art leads to discovery, joy, and a brighter future. "TOGETHER" in our journey is not just a word but a foundation. It is this togetherness that builds a brighter, more creative future for our youth, fostering an environment where every child can envision and achieve their highest potential. Thank you to all our partners, supporters, and friends for being part of this extraordinary mission. • From Vision to Reality, from Art to Impact: How OASIS Arts Initiatives Transform Lives Jin Sung's journey with OASIS Center International is deeply rooted in her belief in the transformative power of the arts. Growing up with a diplomat father, Ms. Jin traveled extensively and experienced firsthand the world's artistic wonders—from the grandeur of master paintings to the elegance of ballet and the magnificence of concerts. These experiences showed her how art can uplift the human spirit and foster personal growth. Conversely, she also saw communities that lacked cultural enrichment, where young people were burdened by life's challenges without creative outlets to inspire hope and ambition. In the City of Santa Ana, California, Ms. Jin saw a city struggling with high crime rates and economic depression. Yet, she also witnessed how the establishment of the Santa Ana Arts District in the 1990s transformed the area from a hub of drug activity and prostitution into one of the safest neighborhoods in the city. This transformation highlighted art's potential to beautify spaces and bring significant social change, fostering safer, more vibrant communities. As the founder and executive director of OASIS, Ms. Jin aimed to replicate this positive impact on a broader scale. By providing arts education and mentorship to under-resourced youth, OASIS helps students develop critical thinking, creativity, and confidence. These programs offer a productive outlet for expression and personal development, equipping young people with the skills and inspiration to pursue their dreams and contribute positively to their communities. OASIS relies on the power of community resources to get disadvantaged elementary-age students interested in the arts. This is achieved by obtaining support from art institutions, financial institutions, corporate sponsors, and other nonprofit organizations. This collaborative effort ensures that the programs are robust, sustainable, and impactful, reaching those who need them most and making a tangible difference in their lives through education. Ms. Jin's vision for OASIS is to cultivate a generation of young people who can realize their full potential through the arts, thereby fostering stronger, more resilient communities. Her firsthand experiences with the arts' ability to inspire and transform lives motivated her to create an organization that offers similar opportunities to youth who otherwise might not have access to such enriching experiences. #ArtForChange #TransformingLives #CreativeFuture #SantaAnaArts #MentorshipMatters #InspiringYouth #BuildingCommunities #LeadingByExample
