My co-founder Ari Silver and I are building Jayla intentionally. Our goal is to create a company that reflects the diverse experiences of women - especially those whose stories are overlooked due to ethnicity, cultural background, socioeconomic status, gender identity, and sexual orientation. Before writing a single line of code, we interviewed over 150 women from different walks of life to ensure our platform would serve their unique needs and amplify their voices in spaces where they’ve historically been underrepresented. This intentionality extends to the team and service providers we collaborate with. From our designer OAK THEORY (led by women of color), to our advisory board (four women who come from different walks of life Anne Morriss, Denise H., Zoe Rodriguez, MD, Rachel Blake, MD, FACOG), to our clinical providers, blog editor Capucine Cogné, and product photographer JJ Ignotz (who speak different languages), we're practicing what we preach. We're still in the early stages, but we're not just talking the talk, we're walking the walk. Jayla is more than a platform—it's a purposeful community, designed so that every woman’s story is heard and valued. We’re proud of the progress we’ve made, but our work is just beginning.
