On Saturday, December 14, NYSTEC teams from our Albany and Rome offices proudly participated in Wreaths Across America - a tradition we value as individuals and as a company. Wreaths Across America is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 2007 to continue and expand the annual wreath-laying ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery begun by Maine wreath-maker Morrill Worcester in 1992. The organization’s yearlong mission – Remember the fallen, Honor those who serve, Teach the next generation the value of freedom – is carried out, in part, each year by coordinating wreath-laying ceremonies in December at thousands of participating locations in all 50 states and beyond. #HonorOurVeterans #RememberVeterans #GiveBack #Community

The New York State Office of Mental Health announced on December 19, 2024, that the Daniel’s Law Task Force has issued its recommendations for developing a statewide model for a health-led behavioral health crisis response. Established by legislation in response to the death of 41-year-old Daniel Prude in 2020, the task force was charged with developing recommendations to guide behavioral health crisis response and explore avenues for related diversion services. “NYSTEC is honored to have contributed to such an important step forward for mental health in New York State,” said Kevin Owens, President and CEO of NYSTEC. “We are proud to have supported NYS OMH and the task force.” Learn more: https://on.ny.gov/4iLHcky #NYSTEC #DanielsLaw #NewYork #TaskForce #MentalHealth #Consulting

The flight may have only lasted 12 seconds, but it forever changed transportation. It's inspiring to consider which innovations being developed right now could someday become life-changing history. #Innovators #History #Technology #Transportation #WrightBrothers

New York State is more than just one city, one person, or one set of values. NYSTEC is proud to do good work that benefits New Yorkers across our state. In tribute to the diversity that we hold dear to our mission, we are celebrating towns, villages, and cities across New York to share why we love our communities. Albany, NY, was the birthplace and home of Wicked author, Gregory Maguire. We would like to imagine his home served as inspiration to some of the book’s key locations. #Wicked #NewYorkStateIsMore #SupportLocal #NewYork

Thrilled to have had Kent Johnson, CEO of Highlights for Children, as our keynote speaker at our recent annual meeting! NYSTECers were excited to hear about the beloved magazine and company, and Kent shared his compelling and inspiring business story about a journey through resilience, expansion, and reinvention. Over the years, Kent has shepherded Highlights to stay true to its unique mission and vision and focus on purpose-driven work. Hmmm. Sounds like NYSTEC! #Inspiration #MissionCentric #TeamMeetings #NYSTEC #AnnualMeeting #keynote

On this day almost 150 years ago, Thomas Edison produced the very first sound recording. The beloved nursery rhyme, "Mary Had a Little Lamb," were the words that transformed the way humans across the globe communicated. NYSTEC is proud to work with and support the innovators and entrepreneurs creating the next generation of technical advancements. #NYSTEC #Technology #Innovations #STEM #ThomasEdison

Congratulations to our IgniteU NY Fellows from Mohawk Valley Community College, Le Moyne College and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute!
Congrats to our student fellows! Our incredible cohort of student fellows just wrapped up an immersive, hands-on design thinking course, and their final presentations were nothing short of spectacular! From ideation to execution, these talented individuals tackled real-world challenges with creativity, collaboration, and innovation. Their hard work, dedication, and fresh perspectives made for an inspiring showcase of what’s possible when passion meets design thinking. We can’t wait to see where their journey takes them next! The IgniteU NY Fellowship is powered by New York State Technology Enterprise Corporation (NYSTEC). #futureleaders #designthinking #ai
