Expand your palette and intern with the Public Art for Public Schools team! 🎨📚 Paid internships are available for graduate students from fall 2024 to summer 2025. The Public Art for Public Schools team oversees NYC Public Schools’ collection of permanent artworks. The interns will assist with collection research, database maintenance, artist research, general administrative tasks, office support, and the inspection of artwork in public schools. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, a self-starter, and possess strong research skills. 📋🔍 This is a paid, in-person internship. During the fall and spring semesters, interns may work up to 20 hours per week, with the potential to increase to 37.5 hours per week during winter and summer breaks. Candidates must be enrolled in at least two classes in an accredited graduate degree program for art history, public art, and/or conservation. Proficiency in MS Word and MS Excel is required, along with strong verbal and written communication skills. Academic performance (G.P.A.) will be considered.
