Nothing is much more rewarding than serving a Labor of love. We visited our long time client on Labor day and found Pilar, a devoted caregiver at Chula Vista Care Homes giving some tender and nurturing care to Maryjo after a hearty breakfast made for her. Pilar plays her favorite music, brushes her hair and lets her remember the names and fun facts of her adult sons. NCL: Why do you do what you do? In our senior living industry we find deep emotional fulfillment in the services we offer that allows us to build connections and relationships with others that shares the same values and committment. For more than a year, me and Pierce Wood with Cabrillo Hospice has been working hard together to help our senior community and their families via phonecalls and emails only..Today, we finally found the right time and place to meet for the first time personally and connect with one of our resource at the beautiful Vibrant Living Home off Crawford St (Mission Valley/Claremont Area) with the administrator and the 12 bed-owner herself,Julie Norris. This meet up was absolutely vibrantly entertaining, we all shared our thoughts and perspectives about senior living and how we can help make a difference in the community. So good to meet people who have the same passion and dedication for others.
