Sharing the latest biosolutions for the food and beverage sector in Jakarta, Indonesia At the Food ingredients - Fi Asia 2024 conference in Indonesia, our colleagues proudly launched Novonesis in the local market. This occasion was marked with a press conference and a display of traditional local dance and music instrument, kompang. We had the honor of welcoming many prominent guests at our booth, including the Ambassador of Denmark to Indonesia, Sten Frimodt Nielsen as well as expert staff members of an Indonesian ministry. Our colleagues Regional President Lensey Chen and VP Frederik Mejlby also shared their perspectives on Novonesis in the region and the potential of biosolutions for food and beverage products. Team Novonesis, go go go! 🙌 On a beautiful summer evening, more than 1,500 of our colleagues showed up for the annual DHL relay race in Copenhagen, Denmark. And for the first time, the Novonesis logo and colors were on display among thousands of runners at this event. In teams of five people, our colleagues each did a 5 kilometer run or walk before passing the baton to a teammate and cheering on the rest of the group.  Afterwards, we all gathered for a barbecue buffet and refreshing drinks, much needed on a warm and sunny day!  High five to everyone, and thank you all for a beautiful day in great company! ❤ #novonesis #newbeginnings #biosolutions #teamspirit

Great start to Novonesis In this video, our CFO Rainer Lehmann goes into detail about how our business is doing after the first six months as Novonesis, including why we have upgraded our full-year financial outlook.  "We are doing very well, delivering on our promises. On a pro-forma basis, we realized a broad-based 7% organic sales growth in H1 with a strong 10% growth in Q2. We continue to experience a growing demand for our biosolutions, and we are pleased to announce that we increase our full-year outlook and now expect organic sales growth of 7-8%," he says. Rainer also gives his perspective on our progress as a company:  "I'm truly excited to experience how we are becoming one company. Novonesis delivers 7% organic sales growth in the first half of 2024 and upgrades full-year financial outlook, following a strong Q2 with 10% growth. We are now expecting an organic sales growth of 7-8% in 2024 with an adjusted EBITDA margin of 35.5%-36.5%. Our CEO Ester Baiget shares her perspective on the first half year for Novonesis: “We continue to execute strongly across the business, and I am very pleased with the first half-year performance delivering a broad-based 7% organic sales growth and an adjusted EBITDA margin of 35.3% on a pro forma basis. We increase full-year expectations and now expect an organic sales growth of 7-8% with an adjusted EBITDA margin of 35.5%-36.5%. Synergy realization and prioritization continues to be in focus throughout the company. The beginner's guide to fermented food by the chef who pioneered fermentation at three-Michelin-star restaurant Noma In a feature interview by Business Insider, our colleague and fermentation expert David Zilber talks about fermented food and how it can improve people's gut health. Due to the power of good microbes or probiotics, fermented foods can contribute to smoothing digestion, strengthening immunity and boosting mental health.  David also says that fermenting is surprisingly easy to figure out:  "I always like to say that if you can make a salad, you can make fermented foods because they are on par in complexity." Fermented foods are created when live bacteria or yeast are added to foods like vegetables, tea, or milk, and are known to increase the diversity of microbes in the gut microbiome, which is a sign of a healthy gut. David was previously the director of fermentation at Noma, and he was co-author of the acclaimed "The Noma Guide to Fermentation". In the article, he shares recipes for pickles, sauerkraut, and kimchi that beginners can try at home. According to David, lacto-fermentation, which uses lactic acid-producing bacteria, is a good place to start.
