🌟 Spotlight on Mary Qiu, MD 🌟   We’re honored to highlight Dr. Mary Qiu, who specializes in glaucoma and cataract surgery with a strong emphasis on the surgical and medical management of complex glaucoma patients.   Dr. Qiu has authored numerous articles in peer-reviewed journals and presented her work nationally and internationally. In her former role as Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at the University of Chicago, she directed the resident glaucoma rotation, volunteered as a longitudinal preceptor for the first-year medical students, and taught medical students on the ophthalmology clerkship. She will soon bring this same commitment to education to Cleveland, taking up a role at Cole Eye Institute, Cleveland Clinic, from next month.    In addition to mastering her surgical skills in the OR, Dr. Qiu has also mastered the art of surgical video creation. Her video editing and narration skills are the stuff of legends, matched only by her energy and enthusiasm for the field of ophthalmology… put simply, Dr. Qiu is dynamite.   We’re excited to reveal that Dr. Mary Qiu is one of the remarkable women featured in our Superwomen in Ophthalmology campaign. 🌟 Spotlight on Larissa Camejo, MD 🌟   We’re thrilled to shine a light on Dr. Larissa Camejo, a glaucoma specialist and founder of Larissa Camejo, MD, Center for Medical and Surgical Eye Care in Florida.    Dr. Camejo is the embodiment of interventional glaucoma and employs a truly nuanced approach to the treatment of her glaucoma patients. She fiercely rejects the “one size fits all” approach and instead evaluates the merits of the various glaucoma treatments based on the individual needs of each patient. Amiable, sincere and highly intelligent, Dr. Camejo is often called on by industry to share her expertise. In the world of ophthalmology, everyone knows Sahar Bedrood: a respected voice, Dr. Bedrood serves on multiple boards, frequently forms part of the invited faculty at conferences nationwide and has been a Los Angeles Magazine Top Doctor since 2017.    Despite being in a busy private practice at Advanced Vision Care (AVC), Dr. Bedrood is actively involved in the residency program at the USC Roski Eye Institute.
