North Sky Capital is a pioneer in impact investing in the United States. Now in its 24th year, North Sky has deployed more than $1.4 billion across 190+ impact investments. The firm has two flagship investment strategies: impact secondaries (private equity) and sustainable infrastructure (direct). Both strategies support positive environmental and social impact while targeting market rate investment returns. North Sky has been an active impact investor since the beginning of the modern era of private markets impact investing in 2005. Founded in 2000, we have raised more than $1.9 billion of investor commitments. Since 2003, we have been playing an innovative and leadership role in the impact investment marketplace. We identify and invest in companies, private equity funds and infrastructure projects focused on making the world a better place. In 2005, North Sky launched the first impact fund of funds in North America. We have continued to innovate in this market, launching the first impact secondaries fund in 2013. Today, our Impact Secondaries Funds are the leading liquidity providers to impact investors worldwide. During the Great Recession, we identified an opportunity to invest in clean energy infrastructure projects in North America, while also creating high-paying construction jobs. We raised our first Infrastructure Fund in 2010 and have since created approximately 3.3 GW of new clean power generation and storage capacity in North America. To date, we have invested more than $760 million in projects, creating more than 2 million green job hours. Together with our clients, we have created one of the most impactful investment platforms focused on private markets in North America.
