Phishing emails, texts, and calls are the number one cause of data compromise. Be cautious of unsolicited communications and avoid sharing sensitive information or credentials over the phone or email unless necessary. Verify the authenticity of requests by contacting the individual or organization through a trusted channel and report phishing attempts to the appropriate authorities or IT department. One E-ISAC resource available to help is the Cybersecurity Risk Information Sharing Program (CRISP). CRISP leverages advanced data collection technology and industry expertise to provide its participants with near real-time delivery of relevant and actionable threat analysis of their IT networks.
