We congratulate Managing Attorney Lauren Koster on this meaningful milestone!

Since 2021, Katie Roy has served as Senior Advisor to the Boston-area education consulting nonprofit, Education Resource Strategies (“ERS”). This summer, Katie was named Partner and General Counsel at ERS; as a result, she transitioned to the role of Founder and Consulting Attorney at Nonprofits Counsel on September 1, 2024. Although no longer providing direct client representation, Katie will continue offering ad hoc legal consultation to the firm.   With Katie’s transition, Lauren Koster assumed the role of Managing Attorney, also effective September 1. Having served Nonprofits Counsel as our sole full-time attorney for the past year, Lauren remains dedicated to serving our current clients and continues to accept new clients in #Connecticut and #Massachusetts on matters related to #taxexempt entity #startup, #lifecycle, and #winddown, as well as #education, including representation of #charterschools. #nonprofits #nonprofitlaw #taxexemption #foundations #charities #educationlaw #specialeducationlaw
