About us
Founded in 1980, the HBA-NJ is a 501 (c)(6) statewide organization which represents the interests of attorneys, judges, law professors and law students who share a common interest in resolving the issues affecting Hispanics within the legal community. The purpose of the Association is to serve the public interest: (i) by cultivating the art and science of jurisprudence, (ii) by advancing the standing of the legal profession, and (iii) by preserving high standards of integrity, honor, and professional courtesy among Hispanic lawyers. The HBA-NJ is a very active bar association. In addition to its many initiatives, programs, and public advocacy activities, the HBA-NJ cooperates with other Hispanic bar organizations, with other Hispanic community, business, civic, charitable and cultural organizations, as well as with other legal organizations and in furtherance of the aforementioned purposes.

The HBA-NJ launched this initiative in order to provide our members and the larger community with programming that focuses on financial literacy, wellness and security, and long-term financial planning for every stage of your life. The 2024 F.A.C.T.S. program will focus on an overview of Wills, Trusts, and Estate Planning. The program will consist of panels that will discuss various tools and strategies on these issues, which will better equip you for your future. The program is FREE for HBA-NJ members and community members and it is eligible for CLE credits.
