  • Thank you ALALS for supporting NJCIC and NJ’s immigrant children!

Earlier this month, ALALS attended the NJCIC Immigrant Children and Youth Walk. We also had the privilege of being a co-sponsor of the event. This November we will host our annual Goals for Justice Charity game and all proceeds will go towards NJCIC. We hope to see you there!

  • Last week, our Policy Analyst and Policy Associate got to attend Advocacy Academy, the training created by the NJ Alliance for Immigrant Justice and hosted by the Palestinian American Community Center. For 3 days, our policy team was in community with partner organizations to enhance their advocacy skills to serve immigrant children and families around the state. Thanks for having us!

Last Saturday, NJCIC hosted our 3rd Annual Immigrant Children & Youth Walk in West Orange, NJ. More than 150 supporters walked with us during this special, sunny morning. We are immensely grateful to the advocates, allies, and community members who showed up and stepped up to support creating a garden of opportunities for NJ's young immigrants. Because of the grassroots generosity of individual supporters and sponsors, including several local businesses and student groups, we surpassed our fundraising goal! We raised more than $25,000. $27,096 to be exact. We also wish to express special thanks to our guest speakers, including Assemblyman Gabriel Rodriguez (Hudson, D-33) for highlighting the promise and value of high-quality legal representation for immigrant children and youth. It takes a village to make the impact of our mission possible, and we're proud to see it grow each year! #njcic #immigrantyouth #newjersey #nj

  • Last Friday, our Executive Director, Priscilla Monico Marín, Esq., accepted an award from the Morris County Organization for Hispanic Affairs at their Heritage Harmony Gala. Congratulations to MCOHA on recently celebrating their 10th anniversary of providing immigration legal services to the local community! We are immensely grateful to MCOHA for helping us build a future for immigrant children in New Jersey. We are proud to share a seat at the table with you. Here's to the next ten years!
