🚨 New Drilling Milestone in Alaska! 🚨 We're excited to report a new 1-day shift record at one of our Alaska fly jobs! Dayshift led the way with 220 feet, using 5-foot tooling to navigate challenging ground conditions while maintaining 100% core recovery. Nightshift followed up with an impressive 313 feet, bringing the day's total to 533 feet! While this isn't a NISS company record, it's a testament to our team's dedication and skill. We're constantly pushing to raise the bar at every site. Most importantly, it involves doing it all SAFELY, making efficient moves with minimal environmental impact, and recovering clean PQ and HQ core to the client. Staying vigilant and prepared is crucial for all our mining family! ✅ Check Conditions: Always check the weather and road conditions before heading out. Be aware of potential changes throughout your shift. ✅ Vehicle Readiness: Ensure your vehicle is ready for winter driving—inspect tires, wipers, lights, and fluids regularly. ✅ Drive Cautiously: Reduce speed and increase following distance in poor conditions. Better to arrive late than not at all! ✅ Watch for Fatigue: Long shifts and difficult conditions can lead to fatigue, which slows reaction times and decision-making. Get adequate rest, stay hydrated, and take breaks as needed. ✅ Emergency Kit: Keep an emergency kit in your vehicle with essentials like blankets/jackets, a flashlight, and first aid supplies.
