Yesterday, we were proud to host youth baseball and softball championship games at Yankee Stadium to mark the culmination of the second-annual Summer Night Lights Program 🙌 Congratulations to “Grand Slam” for winning the baseball championship game and “Diamond Elites” for winning the softball championship game! 🏆 This summer, approximately 300 Bronx youth, ages 12 to 18, took part in the program in which the Yankees partnered with the New York City Police Department’s Blue Chips Program, NYC Department of Parks & Recreation, NYC Department of Youth & Community Development, SCAN-Harbor and @Poland Spring® Water to keep Bronx youth engaged in positive outlets during summer evenings.

Earlier today, Yankee players stopped by The Clubhouse Cafe, a local coffee shop operated by South Bronx United (SBU), a nonprofit community organization ☕ 💙 The Clubhouse Café is a part of SBU’s Workforce Development Program, which provides real-world job training for young people ages 16-24. The program helps participants build job skills, cultivate a potential career, and secure long-term employment through weekly workshops and on-the-job training.
