Attention Members & Partners! Governor Hochul has until December 31st, 2024 to veto or sign into law the fiscal cliff taskforce bill legislation that was passed by the Legislature earlier this year. Unfortunately, this piece of legislation was vetoed in 2023. To avoid the same fate this year, we need your support!  We are asking members and partners from across the state demonstrate your support by signing on to a letter to Governor Hochul! I had the privilege to spend the past few days with workforce and economic development colleagues, listening to best practices and exciting innovation happening across New York State. From the integration of generative AI in the workplace, the expanding semiconductor tech hub along the Thruway corridor, and coalitions moving the needle on breaking down childcare barriers to employment, the future is bright for NY.  Thanks to New York Association for Training and Employment Professionals (NYATEP) and New York State Economic Development Council (NYSEDC) for convening a fantastic group of partners and hosting this event.
