The Commission House Apartments in Lowertown St. Paul was built in 1889 and operated as the name suggests - as a commission or brokerage house for local trade that traveled by steamboat or rail. Most recently, the building was occupied by Seestedt's Carpet which utilized the space for over 50 years. The three-story building was redeveloped into 26 studio apartments with street-level retail, and has received numerous awards since its completion, including the NAIOP Minnesota Award of Excellence, Minnesota Real Estate Journal Award, and Finance & Commerce Top Projects of 2019.
