In our current boom time of misinformation, it’s difficult to have clarity on the past. The stories we’ve been told about the history of indigenous peoples in particular have always been murky, if not completely made up by storytellers colonizing our imaginations. As we honor #IndigenousPeoplesDay, one way we do so is by decolonizing our imaginations with the stories of indigenous poets, novelists, and filmmakers. So, today we honor some of our favorite storytellers: poets Joy Harjo and Natalie Diaz, novelists Louis Erdrich and Tommy Orange, and filmmakers Sterlin Harjo and Chris Eyre. Who are your favorite indigenous voices?

National #ComingOutDay is a day to honor the courage and vulnerability to live authentically in an often dangerous world. May we all work toward a more accepting future that demands less courage and offers more love. 🌈 ❤️

How do you define #equity in your organization and set clear priorities? How do you build internal capacity for an equity-focused culture? And how do you deliver on your values to provide tangible equity benefits to the communities you serve? The American Public Transportation Association's 2024 Transit Equity Report draws from the current state of the practice to assist public transportation providers in fostering greater equity within their communities. We're proud to share the results of our collaboration with APTA on this important effort. View the full report here: https://lnkd.in/eUqqYyCd

Today is the start of #LGBTQHistoryMonth. As we honor the people and progress of the past, let’s also time travel to the future and look back on our present and the history unfolding in it. The movement for trans rights is undeniably the history-making movement of our present. In a time when our culture is so divided, and we all feel rushed to take a position and defend it, can we take a different, more open stance? Can we ask ourselves, “What can I learn? What ideas do I still carry around just because they were handed to me a long time ago.” What would it be like for us to be changed by truly inhabiting another’s perspective, truly feeling another suffering or joy—would it feel like renewal?
