Yesterday, NCDIT Secretary and State CIO Jim Weaver spoke to high school students participating in the Governor's Page Program about NCDIT, IT careers and the importance of making the most of the opportunities that come their way. "You're going to come across challenges in your careers, in your lives," he said. "Look for the opportunities that are going to be presenting themselves, because you could miss them when the doors open. You just have to be willing to walk through the door and take the chance."

Yesterday, NCDIT Secretary and State CIO Jim Weaver and other NCDIT team members were treated to a tour of STEM Early High School in Henderson while delivering school supplies collected for Vance County Schools through the Governor's School Supply Drive. During the tour, we learned about the county's and school's innovative approach to education. Their efforts are helping prepare students for future success, including opportunities in STEM-related fields. #NC #NCPublicSchools #STEM

Thanks to a Digital Champion grant from our Division of Broadband and Digital Equity, Wake County residents will soon be able to check out Chromebooks and internet hotspots from the Wake County Public Library System.
