NCAA hosts High School Student-Athlete Symposium! The championships equity, diversity and inclusion action team at the NCAA hosted high school student-athletes and their families from the Indianapolis area as part of the High School Student-Athlete Symposium. The seminar provided students interested in playing college sports with the opportunity to make an in-person connection with the NCAA while gaining essential knowledge and tools to successfully transition from high school to college. The symposium took place Saturday afternoon at the national office. Students from Indianapolis Public Schools and Lawrence North, Lawrence Central, Pike and Warren Central high schools were invited to attend. Participants engaged in sessions covering topics such as the eligibility certification process, Eligibility Center resources and registration, athletics opportunities available at NCAA Divisions I, II and III, the new NIL Assist resource tool and the realities of transitioning from a high school student-athlete to a collegiate student-athlete. The symposium is part of the NCAA's commitment to championing diversity, equity and inclusion across its functions, staff, partners, stakeholders and communications platforms in support of the Association's core value of inclusion.
