About us

Chartered as a national community development focused bank, Native American Bank is also a certified Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) and is headquartered in Denver, Colorado. The Company has over $129 million in assets and operates nationally. In 2001, twenty Tribal Nations and Alaskan Native Corporations set out with a dream "to create a national bank to serve all Native people, communities, governments and enterprises across the country" and established Native American Bank, N.A. (NAB). As of June 2019, NAB has thirty-five shareholders. NAB recognizes that among the many issues facing Native Americans, the absence of access to financial capital and services has been a significant impediment towards the realization of self-sufficiency and financial freedom across Indian Country. NAB is committed to being a self-sustaining CDFI and is the only nationally Indian-owned community development bank in the country. NAB is an Equal Opportunity Lender. Member FDIC.
