🌟We're thrilled to announce that the WDC has joined the National Skills Coalition’s newly formed WIOA Advisory Council! 🚀 As Congress moves toward reauthorizing the Workforce Innovation Opportunity Act (WIOA), this council will ensure that local leaders and experts shape our nation’s public workforce system. With voices from across 13 states and two tribal nations, including WDC, we'll advocate for a modernized, equitable system that serves all workers, especially those historically underserved in our community. One of the best aspects of my job is to learn from and lift up the great work happening in states to inform National Skills Coalition policy development and advocacy work. I appreciate the leadership of so many in Arkansas, Robert McGough, Ken Warden, Tina Moore, Ed.D., Kristen Shryock, Collin Callaway, Kyla Waters who over the past two years have been building a case for enhancing noncredit data collection by identifying data gaps which were hampering the state’s ability to understand its noncredit education and training system. Cross agency teamwork makes the dreamwork! #SkillsDevelopment #HigherEDPolicy #QualityNonDegreeCredentials
Non-degree credentials are key to a modern workforce, and states are pioneering the data systems to track them. National Skills Coalition highlights how these efforts are enhancing education and employment outcomes. Dive into the details: https://lnkd.in/e_mwYvew
