Join the movement and amplify our impact! At the National Independent Venue Foundation, we aim to empower and create more sustainable live entertainment communities. Since 2020, the Emergency Relief Fund (ERF) has provided over $3.7 million in aid to independent venues and promoters across the U.S. We have hosted 30+ free workforce training sessions, supporting 4,000+ attendees from over 750 venues, with 66% identifying as female, gender fluid, genderqueer, or non-binary. Our VOX internship program, launched in 2023, has placed 32 interns at venues nationwide, 90% women, 65% LGBTQ+, and 64% BIPOC. Thanks to Dave Mattingly's support, we have also offered travel aid for NIVA conferences, boosting opportunities for the next generation in the music industry! The National Independent Venue Foundation is proud to partner with The Drake Business Innovation Hub, a center within the Drake University Zimpleman College of Business, which strongly supports innovators, especially creatives and other entities committed to pursuing business as a force for good. This database provides a critical repository of funding and workforce development opportunities to increase and support economic development and initiatives for independent venues and small businesses in the United States. Individuals such as Tobi Parks from xBk, Des Moines can utilize the database as a stepping stone in regards to looking for resources, "When I began the process of researching how to start my venue, xBk, I scoured the web for various resources, including what financial resources may be available in my state. The information exists, but it is not easy to find.  In creating this database, NIVF has consolidated many of these resources into one location so future entrepreneurs have a starting point in their journey. The database may not be fully comprehensive, but it can provide a roadmap of resources for those getting started”
