📢 Statement Release: NCAI Commends President Biden’s Apology on the Federal Indian Boarding School Initiative NCAI commends President Biden’s historic apology for the U.S. Federal Indian Boarding School policies. This moment is a profound acknowledgment of the trauma faced by generations, with the ultimate goal to erase Native cultures and identities. This apology marks an essential step in the healing journey for Tribal Nations. However, true healing demands action. NCAI calls on Congress to support legislation that confronts this history and to aid in returning our relatives buried on these school grounds. We hope this step leads to lasting justice and solidarity for #IndianCountry. 🔗 Read the full statement here: https://lnkd.in/eNP7xVf5
