We are deeply saddened by the passing of the Honorable Richard Alatorre. 🕊️ A seminal figure in Los Angeles and California politics, Alatorre's courageous leadership as a public servant has left an indelible mark, empowering and transforming the lives of his constituents and the Los Angeles community. He leaves a legacy as one of the most influential Latino politicians in the state, who constantly fought for the Latino community and transformed the lives of many Angelenos. Cortez Masto was the first Latina elected to the U.S. Senate. She currently serves on the Senate Committees on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs, Finance, and Energy and Natural Resources and has also served as Nevada's Attorney General.
