Yesterday NALCAB staff and our Board Member Emi Reyes, CEO of NALCAB member organization Latino Economic Development Center (LEDC), had the honor of being invited to participate in a special White House tour for Día de los Muertos! There we celebrated the lives and memories of loved ones by adding their photos to this year’s ofrenda. It was a beautiful celebration of heritage and remembrance!

NALCAB is proud to share the work our member The Resurrection Project is doing in Chicago's Southwest Side to replace empty, overgrown lots with houses fit for families. In the campaign’s first phase, they helped 17 families own a modern home, and in the coming year, they will support 27 new families. "A lot of families don’t feel like they can acquire a home here in this country because of their legal status or immigration status, and the truth is that everyone can benefit from what we’re doing here in the neighborhood," Erica Esquivel, Managing Broker at The Resurrection Project.
