Growing tribal economies. Strengthening tribal finance.
About us
NAFOA was founded over 40 years ago as the Native American Finance Officers Association to highlight the role of tribal finance in fostering economic opportunities. Over the last four decades, NAFOA has grown along with tribes to be advocates of sound economic and fiscal policy and developers of innovative training programs in financial management to build the skills of the next generation.

Whāia te iti kahurangi ki te tūohu koe me he maunga teitei Aim high, be persistent and don't let obstacles stop you from reaching great heights. We're excited to announce one of our stellar keynote speakers: Cliff Curtis. Our Summit has been designed to share global indigenous success stories, learn from challenges and unite to grow the indigenous economy globally. Having Cliff Curtis on our programme elevates our Summit, very fitting for the whakatauki (proverb) quoted. With over 30 years' experience in the film industry, Curtis has established himself as one of Aotearoa New Zealand’s most successful actors and producers, establishing Arama Pictures which is dedicated to indigenous storytelling. Curtis has worked steadily internationally, taking a pragmatic approach to his Hollywood career to strengthen his craft and enhance his passion for producing. Don't miss his keynote address as part of the Summit: Globally ambitious and tribally grounded.
