In August, the Wall Street Journal published a hit piece including stories from three of our clients. Afterward, two of the clients reached out, frustrated at how their stories were misrepresented. They shared with us how Mindbloom transformed their lives and felt disappointed by the way their journeys were distorted for clickbait. Client stories are central to our mission, and we believe they deserve to be told truthfully.  So, we invited these clients to share their unfiltered stories with us, and they graciously agreed. The latest edition of Psychedelic Optimist highlights their true, unedited stories, offering an honest view of how ketamine therapy has impacted their lives.

If you’re following me, you probably saw the WSJ hit piece trying to link Matthew Perry and Mindbloom. Two clients featured in the piece reached out to tell us how Mindbloom changed their lives and were shocked that WSJ blatantly distorted their experiences to exploit Perry’s death and tear us down. This goes beyond bias — it’s straight-up exploitation. Why? Maybe psychedelics are threatening Big Pharma’s turf and WSJ is deep in their pocket.

Hearing from clients who had that breakthrough magic moment with ketamine therapy is my favorite part of working at Mindbloom. It's even more special when that conversation is recorded so others can hear what this medicine can do. Shane Sams isn't the media archetype of a psychedelic medicine client. He's a former schoolteacher and football coach turned entrepreneur, who started a podcast to help others grow in their personal and professional lives. He's incredibly candid about his journey through depression and anxiety, and how ketamine therapy helped him break out. We hit it off from the moment we met, and I'm grateful for the opportunity to share stories and bring this medicine to people in need. Check it out!

This process helps to break negative thought patterns, reframe difficult emotions, and foster healthier habits.
