The music community faces unique challenges when it comes to health & #wellness, especially touring musicians and crews on the road. Members of the music community often lack the standard benefits that so many other professionals have available to them. #WellnessMonth is coming to a close, but MusiCares provides holistic health & wellness support & resources year-round for music professionals. Learn more about our focus on preventive, physical, and mental health care - and if you or a music professional you know is in need of support, reach out to us at [email protected] or by calling 800-687-4227. ❤️

“I find music to be one of the very few things that doesn’t matter what walk of life you’re from or where you’re from. Two people can be in a room and experience the same song together, and I think that’s the beauty of music and why it brings so many people together.” Looking back at our first Live on the Lawn showcase in July, Lee DeWyze shares his experience as a songwriter and the importance of creating a space for people to feel. 📲 Stay tuned to MusiCares Foundation socials for more behind-the-scenes content and opportunities to attend Live on the Lawn showcases in August and September!

One of the critical services MusiCares Foundation offers is free, inclusive, virtual resources and opportunities to connect with others in the music community who uniquely understand your wellness concerns. Goodfellaz is a virtual, safe communal space for Black men working in music to connect, vent, and heal. Join Gary Taylor, LCSW, on July 30th for a specially curated virtual session about mental health. This group will discuss how mental health is health, how the two correlate and impact one another, and what strategies men can use to take care of their own mental health. This Goodfellaz session is open to Black men with 5-years employment in music or credit on 6 commercially released recordings. Space is limited, and RSVP is required to confirm your spot.
