The Association Promoting Quality Rental Housing
About us
Founded in 1992, the Metro Multifamily Housing Association (MMHA) was created to represent residential property managers, owners, and vendors throughout Portland, Southern Washington, and down through the Willamette Valley to Medford. Our members manage over 200,000 units in these areas and represent every service related to the industry. In 2013, Metro Multifamily Housing Association became Multifamily NW to better reflect our diverse membership and affiliations. Multifamily NW is committed to promoting a high degree of professionalism for rental housing providers, owners and partners. We sponsor educational courses, deliver the most comprehensively reviewed set of forms in the state, and advocate to local and state governments on behalf of the industry to ensure our members the best operating environment possible.

Gresham's new fee structure for the rental inspection program will impact property managers and renters. Jessie Dhillon, MBA, CAPS, CAM from Carla Properties, Ltd. was asked about the changes and shared, “Running a business is a balancing act, we have to keep track of income and it has to be bigger than expenses. This huge increase on top of a tough economic climate makes it tough for property owners in Gresham.” Thank you Christopher Keizur and Gresham's The Outlook for sharing this story. https://lnkd.in/gPp9cRQG

The Multifamily NW Service Committee has organized a Fall Blood Drive on October 30th. Each pint of blood we collect can help save up to three lives and will touch the lives of so many more. What a great way to pay it forward and make an impact on people in our community and across the country. We are very excited about the drive and I hope you are too. We appreciate the Portland State University team for looking into this issue and couldn’t agree more with one of their findings: “Housing providers need additional resources to deliver essential services and maintain a healthy fiscal status, which have been strained by rising operating costs and rent arrears accumulated during the COVID-19 pandemic.” Thanks to The Oregonian / OregonLive.com for continuing to cover this. https://lnkd.in/d3PyZk_a

Election season is here and for the first time in more than 100 years, Portlanders will be voting by ranked choice to elect 12 new city councilors, a new mayor, and the city auditor. Changes have also been made to how a candidate can raise campaign funds. Members of the Multifamily NW team have met with candidates to discuss the challenges our city faces, obstacles housing providers deal with daily to provide housing, and other issues affecting the quality of life for our region's residents. Multifamily NW has endorsed a fantastic group of candidates running across all four districts of the city – and they need your direct support! Learn more about the changes, the Small Donor Election Program, and the candidates we are pleased to endorse. https://lnkd.in/gvjjfvZg Rene Gonzalez, Terrence Hayes Loretta Smith Mariah Hudson Dan Ryan Tiffani Penson Daniel DeMelo Steve Novick Eric Zimmerman, MBA Stanley Penkin Ben Hufford Eli Arnold Olivia Clark Tony Morse Bob Weinstein
