The Montgomery County Intermediate Unit (MCIU) is a regional educational service agency that provides a vast array of effective and efficient services that meet the educational and social service needs of Montgomery County’s 200-plus schools, including the 22 public school districts, more than 150 nonpublic schools, four career-technical schools, three charter schools, and the Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE). Services are provided through nine offices: Business Services; Community and Government Relations; Executive Director; Early Childhood Services; Human Resources; Professional Learning; PaTTAN; Technology Services; Student Services. These sessions marked an important step toward fostering a more inclusive and understanding community, and included key takeaways about: ❤️ ADHD Assessments: We explored the critical role of accurate assessments, discussing the tools and strategies that can help identify ADHD symptoms early on. ❤️ Recognizing Autism: Our experts provided valuable insights on how autism can present differently across age groups, emphasizing the importance of early intervention and awareness of less typical signs.
