Marlon ran up $93,000 in debt on about a dozen credit cards. He missed payments and his credit score plunged to the low 500s. He was in serious financial trouble with lenders. Marlon checked out various services and apps that claimed they could help someone as deep in debt as him. Some wanted money in advance. Others claimed boosting his credit score would be fast and easy. The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau warns that some offers may be scams. After working with MMI, Marlon's now debt-free and his credit score is in the blue-ribbon 800s. Thanks to David Lazarus at KTLA for covering this important issue and featuring Marlon's story!

His hobbies include traveling, meeting new people, and learning new cultures. He began his career with credit unions where he developed a passion for helping people on their financial journey, making his new role at MMI a perfect fit!

We’re thrilled to have wrapped up our Score A Better Future & SABF Fundamentals tour with the VA Financial Empowerment Series, alongside Senator Warner’s team and Junior Achievement of Greater Hampton Roads! Stopping at three schools, we had the privilege of equipping students with vital financial education, helping them understand their FICO Scores and empowering them to make informed financial choices.
