Last week, we attended The One Club For Creativity's 14th annual “Where Are All the Black People (WAATBP)” conference. This inspiring event brought together Black voices from across the ad community, from students to C-suite leaders, to celebrate successes and address challenges. Insights from #TeamMomo were that the programming was a vibrant mix of colorful and interactive sessions, where everyone was encouraged to come as they are, no matter where they are in their professional journeys. Team appreciation time 💙 I often receive questions about working in events – and how glamorous it looks. Events can be glamorous, but they’re a tonne of work behind the scenes, in the pursuit of a seamless guest experience. So as a follow on from last week’s Leading Edge conference recap, this one goes out to the team behind it. Leading Edge is a 3-day event, but we invest two thirds of the year in planning. 🤗 Although a proprietary Amex experience, we simply couldn’t get it done without strong partnership from Momentum Worldwide, Australia and American Express Global Business Travel. It’s the creativity, positive energy, professionalism, worldliness and at times true grit of the team that are the catalyst for innovation, year after year.
